Community Farm Welcomes More Than 40,000 Visitors Since Relaunch

Greenmeadow Community Farm has welcomed more than 40,000 visitors since it relaunched last September.

The farm also has 6,000 members and has welcomed more than 2,000 people from events and 1,500 from school visits.

The extensive renovation works across the farm included new indoor and outdoor play facilities, a revamped farm house and cafe called The Farmer’s Table, and a stunning Haybarn that can be booked for events and weddings.

The farm will be hosting additional activities on Easter Holiday opening weekend (28-29 March), where families can expect live music, arts and crafts, interactive activities, and the chance to meet the farm’s newest arrivals, including lambs, piglets and new Highland cows.

Visitors can also meet their favourite farm animals in the new Animal Barn, with up-close-and-personal experiences with guinea pigs, rabbits and chicks in Cuddle Corner.

Jac Griffiths, Farm Manager at Greenmeadow Community Farm, said:

“We’ve been blown away by the response to Greenmeadow’s re-opening, and 40,000 visitors in just over six months is fantastic.

“Since we re-opened in September, the site has been steadily blossoming, with the landscape recovering and the animals back in the paddocks.

“Now with spring underway and Easter holidays around the corner, there couldn’t be a better time to visit and see how we’ve grown.”

October 2025 marked a major milestone, with Greenmeadow hosting its first wedding, and the venue has a number of weddings booked for 2026, with dates for 2027 now open.

The farm was also the chosen venue for the Royal Foundation’s Carol Service in its Dairy on behalf of The Princess of Wales, which took place in December.

There are also plans to continue improving and expanding, with many events and many new interactive activities coming this year.

Toddler Days are returning, including “Sing Along with Liz” sessions. The farm’s brand-new sensory room will be open for Easter , providing an inclusive and welcoming space designed to support children who benefit from a calmer, sensory-friendly environment.

The Farmer’s Table, the on-site restaurant and cafe that serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and coffee, is open daily to the public, with or without farm tickets.

All tickets for events will include access to the Indoor Play Barn, Outdoor Adventure Play, outdoor woodland play, Animal Barn, Cuddle Corner, animal walk-through, demonstrations of activities including Seasonal Milking Demonstrations and Animal Tea Time, plenty of walking trails and free access for dogs.
