Chance for Denbighshire Towns to Promote Themselves

The Carnegie Trust UK is launching its new project Talk of the Town to train and support community leaders to describe their town in a storytelling manner.

This is considered an effective way to articulate a town’s identity to help it develop.

There will also be an opportunity for community leaders to present their town’s story at an event attended by policymakers, practitioners and political representatives interested in supporting places across the UK and Ireland.

Denbighshire County Council is offering free guidance to help towns in the county with their submissions as part of its work to create resilient communities.

Carnegie is inviting expressions of interest in storytelling training from individuals, community groups, charities, social enterprises and more.

The application process involves an online application form and a video submission, which addresses the question, what vision do you have for your town?

The deadline for applications is Friday, October 4 at midday and for more information visit www.carnegieuktrust.org.uk/project/talk-of-the-town/

If you would like guidance with your application prior to submission contact Denbighshire County Council via strategicplanningteam@denbighshire.gov.uk
