The Celtic Collection team behind the iconic Celtic Manor Resort has launched a new Job Shop in the city centre of Newport to reach more people looking for work opportunities.
The Celtic Collection is currently recruiting for a variety of job roles in its diverse hospitality, leisure and events operations, and believes the new drop-in facility will help it engage with the local community and a fresh audience of job seekers.
The Celtic Collection Job Shop is conveniently located above the Careers Wales office at 46-47 High Street, opposite the newly-renovated Newport Market in a vibrant part of the city centre.
Group Talent and Development Director Hannah Elliott said:
“We have held a number of very successful open days at the Celtic Manor Resort but this exciting initiative will help us reach a new group of people who may be looking for work opportunities and their next career path.
“Putting ourselves right here in the heart of Newport city centre, we hope a lot of people will be encouraged to pop in and have a chat and see what we have to offer. They will be able to have an informal chat with our Talent and Development team who can discuss how we can fit a role around their lifestyle.
“They may have never previously thought about working in hotels and hospitality but this is a brilliant opportunity to start a conversation that might change someone’s life. We offer a fantastic range of benefits to all employees and training structures to build rewarding careers within this exciting industry.”
The Celtic Collection is seeking to fill a wide variety of positions within its broad and diverse operations at The Celtic Manor Resort in Newport and its expanding portfolio of properties that includes The Parkgate Hotel in Cardiff and Tŷ Hotel Milford Waterfront in Pembrokeshire.
As well as vacancies across traditional hotel roles such as housekeeping, reception, bartending and kitchen chefs, The Celtic Collection has opportunities for green keepers, golf assistants, technicians, security officers, fitness consultants, drivers, sales executives, graphic designers and more.
“There really are opportunities for everyone,”
adds Hannah.
“We have even created a number of ‘Summer Job’ vacancies which would be ideal for students to gain some amazing experience working in our restaurants and helping deliver our events, enjoying a great mix of different tasks across our operations.
“Whether people are looking for a short-term, casual role or they want to take their first steps towards a fulfilling new career, there has never been a better time to explore what we can offer.”
The Celtic Collection Job Shop at 46-47 High Street is open Monday – Thursday or visit celtic-manor.com/careers to find out more about the opportunities available.
