Celebrating International Women’s Day: Fostering Inclusion in Business


The theme of this year’s International Women's Day is ‘inspire inclusion’. What does inclusion mean for business?  In this digital discussion, Gemma Casey, editor at Business News Wales, is joined by Joanna Swash, CEO of Moneypenny, Gwen Morgan-Evans, partner at Hugh James, and Rachel Ashley, a founding member of Women Angels of Wales.

The panellists discussed the importance of workplace culture in driving inclusion, why diversity of thought leads to better business, and the need for role models from different cultural backgrounds. With research showing that up to £250bn could be added to the UK economy if women started and scaled businesses at the same rate as men, they discussed the changes needed to level the playing field for female founders.
