Cardiff Business Club has launched a new podcast designed to showcase what the Club offers to the city’s business community.

The ongoing series will reflect on the Club’s rich history and a successful 2024/25 season which has seen the appointment of the Baroness Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson DBE DL as Club President, as well as a host of new Board members. It will also look forward to future events and opportunities for businesses across Cardiff and beyond to get involved.

The podcast is produced in collaboration with Business News Wales as part of the media firm’s podcast production service. Gemma Casey, editor of Business News Wales, is the podcast host.

The series features Board members including Sharon James-Evans, Principal of Cardiff and Vale College and Jamie Hayes, pharmacist with NHS Wales and Honorary Professor at Cardiff Metropolitan University, as well as Club sponsors and more.

Phil Jardine, Chair of Cardiff Business Club, said:

Cardiff Business Club has a remarkable history – it predates World War 1 – and it has always been central to the business landscape in the city.

“With a new President and a new Board in place, we are ending this season on a high after a series of sell-out events with first-class speakers. We are already looking forward to a strong new season which will start in September, and our focus is on encouraging more business leaders from every sector and all size of business, inside and outside of Cardiff, to get involved.

“We’ve worked hard to make our membership options accessible and we are always keen to speak to businesses who want to join forces with us to sponsor the Club. This podcast is a great way to bring to an even wider audience some of the highlights of what the Club has to offer.”

The first episode is available now on all major platforms, including Apple Podcasts and Spotify. Listeners can also access the podcast via the Business News Wales website HERE
