Cardiff Business Club Appoints Toward MD Mike Jordan to Board

Cardiff Business Club has announced the appointment of Mike Jordan, managing director of leading strategic branding and web design agency Toward, to its Board with immediate effect.

Mike brings a wealth of experience in brand strategy, communications and business development, having worked with organisations across Wales and beyond to help define and articulate their identity, purpose and growth ambitions. He recently played a key role in shaping and delivering Cardiff Business Club’s new brand identity, which was launched earlier this year as part of the Club’s wider modernisation programme.

In addition to his work at Toward, Mike is also co-founder of Wales Week London, a major annual initiative that showcases Welsh business, culture and innovation on an international stage, bringing together leaders from across sectors and strengthening Wales’ profile globally.

His appointment comes at an important time for Cardiff Business Club as it continues to build momentum with a renewed focus on growth, inclusivity and relevance in a rapidly evolving business landscape.

Mike Jordan, managing director of Toward, said:

“It’s a real privilege to be joining the Board of Cardiff Business Club. It’s an organisation with a remarkable history and a strong reputation within the business community, and I’m proud to be part of its next chapter. Having worked closely with the Club on its recent rebrand, I’ve seen first-hand the ambition and energy driving its evolution. I’m looking forward to supporting the Board as the Club continues its growth journey, reaching new audiences and strengthening its role at the heart of Cardiff’s business community.”

Cardiff Business Club continues to strengthen its Board with individuals who bring fresh perspectives, strong networks and a shared commitment to the Club’s future development.

Cardiff Business Club Chair Phil Jardine welcomed the appointment, highlighting the value Mike will bring to the organisation:

“We are absolutely delighted to welcome Mike to the Board. His experience in brand strategy and communications, combined with his extensive network across Wales and beyond, will be a tremendous asset to the Club as we continue to evolve.

“Mike has already made a significant contribution through his work on our recent rebrand, helping us articulate more clearly who we are and where we are going. That process was not just about design, but about redefining our place within a modern and changing Cardiff, and Mike’s insight was central to that.

“His role as co-founder of Wales Week London is also particularly valuable. The ability to connect Welsh business with wider audiences, both nationally and internationally, is something we are keen to build on as we look to grow the Club’s reach and relevance.

“As we continue to welcome new members, broaden our audience and strengthen our programme, Mike’s perspective, creativity and energy will play an important role in helping us shape the next phase of Cardiff Business Club’s journey.”
