Showcasing the Best of Welsh Business

Caerphilly-based Pronto Named SME Business of the Year

Pronto, a van hire company based in Caerphilly, was accredited with a prestigious award, named as SME Business of the Year at the inaugural Welsh SME Business Awards held at Portland House, in Cardiff Bay. The event saw businesses of all sizes and sectors come together, celebrating the diverse nature of the Welsh business community.

Presented by Capital FM personalities, Polly James and Matt Lissack, the award recognised the efforts of Pronto and credited their attitude towards customer service. The Pronto team were thrilled to be named as category winners of the biggest award of the night.

Managing Director, Naunton Dickins, says:

“We would like to thank all of our wonderful customers and clients for nominating us, as well as the judges of course. It was quite a shock when our name was called out as the winner of the top prize. Van hire is far from glamorous but it just goes to show that with the right attitude and a good team, anything’s possible”.

“Having taken over the business two years ago, we’ve worked incredibly hard to create a brand centred on trust and great service, this award recognises that.”

Continuing to grow their customer base as well as their rental services list, Pronto has some exciting plans in the pipeline. Although specialising in van hire, Pronto is developing a leisure side of the business through the hire of luxury motorhomes.

“Motorhome Hire is the fastest growing part of our business and we are working closely with the team from Visit Wales to promote Wales as THE leisure touring and adventure destination”.

Next week sees the launch of “The Wales Way” which is a new initiative showcasing a world class selection of tourism routes you can take through Wales.
