The Role:
We are looking for an Editorial and Production Executive to support the creation and delivery of compelling business content across our digital channels. This is an exciting, varied role ideal for someone with excellent writing skills, strong attention to detail, and a keen interest in the Welsh business landscape.
You’ll assist in writing, editing and publishing business news stories and interviews, while also supporting our production team with scheduling, audio and video content, and campaign delivery. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience across all elements of digital content production in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Editorial Duties:
- Write and edit business news stories, features, and interviews for publication.
- Support with transcribing and editing written versions of video/audio interviews.
- Conduct research to support content development and campaign planning.
- Upload and format articles for the website using our content management system (CMS).
- Assist with copyediting and proofreading to ensure high editorial standards.
Production Support:
- Support podcast and video production, including preparing scripts, coordinating guests, and assisting on shoots or recordings.
- Manage publishing schedules and help ensure timely delivery of content across platforms.
- Liaise with contributors and partners to gather content assets and approvals.
- Assist with campaign delivery, including content tracking, reporting, and updating stakeholders.
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Strong writing and editorial skills, with the ability to produce clear, engaging content.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
- Comfortable using digital tools and platforms, including content management systems and social media.
- A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
Desirable:
- Experience with basic video/audio editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Audacity, Descript).
- Familiarity with the Welsh business or economic landscape.
- Experience working in a newsroom, media, communications, or content production environment.
- Welsh language skills are an advantage, but not essential.
