Hosted next Wednesday 13th November in the Welsh Capital, the annual Business In Focus AGM breakfast is set to be like no other.

This year guest speaker, Carwyn Jones AM will share his views on the future for the start-up community in Wales. The former first minister will cover the challenges and opportunities he sees ahead and how Welsh business owners can be more prepared for the future.

With an abundance of national business barometers highlighting the resilience in the Welsh economy, the event comes at a time when the role of the SME’s has never been so important.

A recent acquisition has resulted in the social enterprise increasing the size of its portfolio by 67%, taking it from 227k to nearly 380k square feet, increasing its provision of affordable office space to growing numbers of small businesses.

The six acquired sites are located in Abercynon, Aberdare, Bedwas, Dowlais, Pentrebach and Wrexham, helping local entrepreneurs to provide better jobs closer to home – a cornerstone of the Welsh Government’s economic aims.

The annual business meeting is also designed to showcase the work with clients and highlight successes over the year.

Speaking ahead of the event, Chief Executive, Katy Chamberlain said:

The event is a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase our clients and their fantastic achievements. Our SME’s are without a doubt the backbone of the Welsh economy and this event provides us with the opportunity to update the wider business community around some of the ambitious plans Business In Focus has for the future.
