Brothers Indian Restaurant Opens in Pontyclun

Brothers – Contemporary Indian Cuisine in Pontyclun has officially opened its doors under new ownership.

The restaurant, along with the adjoining takeaway counter, has been taken over by a new team. Leading the way is the new owner, Domnic Norunha, whose catering journey began in Goa, on the shores of the Indian Ocean. He then moved to Dubai to further hone his skills before relocating to the UK, where he played a key role in launching Asha’s in Birmingham – one of the country's most high-profile and acclaimed Indian restaurant brands.

Now, Domnic is bringing his global experience, passion for authentic flavours, and personal warmth to Pontyclun.

“We’re a brand new business, but we felt the name ‘Brothers’ was still a neat fit – it speaks to our ethos of bringing people together through great food,” said Domnic.

“Pontyclun is a fantastic community and we’re really proud to become a part of it.

“We hope the new venue can be a real destination for people across South Wales for special occasions, celebrations or just for a different type of meal. Our chefs are experienced and embedded in Indian culture, and we will always stay true to that. We will be a true taste of our homeland.”
