Brecon Carreg has announced it will be returning as title sponsor of the 2026 Porthcawl 10K.
The Brecon Carreg Porthcawl 10K will be taking place on Sunday 5 July.
This year’s race is on track to be its biggest yet, with record-breaking entry numbers and general entries expected to sell out earlier than ever.

Several enhancements to elevate the event experience are being introduced this year – including refined start and finish line locations that will create more space for a smoother and more enjoyable start and finish for all participants.
The event forms part of the R4W 10K Series alongside other races in Newport, Barry and Cardiff.
Founded in 1978, Brecon Carreg is sourced in the heart of the Brecon Beacons. The collaboration builds on the partnership established at Porthcawl in 2025 and Brecon Carreg’s established history of supporting sport and community wellbeing in Wales.
The water company will also continue to partner across the portfolio of Run 4 Wales events, providing water to runners on race day to keep them hydrated around the course and at the finish line.
Eleri Morgan, Brand Manager at Brecon Carreg, said:
“We’re proud to once again be headline sponsor of the Porthcawl 10K in July as well as continuing to keep runners hydrated across all Run 4 Wales events. Hydration is a vital part of performance, and our continued partnership will allow us to continue to support community health and wellbeing across Wales.”
Annabelle Mason, Head of Partnerships at Run 4 Wales, added:
“We’re delighted that Brecon Carreg will be returning as headline sponsor of the 2026 Porthcawl 10K – a fun and friendly event that has become a favourite in the Welsh running calendar, and continuing to keep all of our participants hydrated in 2026.”
Almost half of entries have already gone, and the event is on track for an early sell out, so runners are encouraged to secure their spot quickly if they want to take part. Entry costs £34 (or £32 for affiliated runners). Alternatively discounted spaces are available for those who wish to run for the event’s lead charity, Tŷ Hafan, when they pledge to raise £175.
