DragonFly Executive Air Charter has today formally welcomed a brand new, state of the art Textron Beechcraft King Air 250 turboprop aircraft to its growing fleet.
This aircraft, which touched down recently at its new base at Cardiff Airport, flew in from the Textron manufacturing facility in Wichita, Kansas, USA – stopping at Montreal, Goose Bay, Greenland and Iceland along the way.
The aircraft is to be added to the Company’s Air Operating Certificate and will then be generally available for commercial charter, and based at Cardiff Airport.
Howard Palser, Chief Executive and Managing Director of DragonFly Executive Air Charter praised the King Air as an aircraft that ticked all the boxes for private air travel:
“The King Air 250 delivers excellent performance, the reliability afforded by jet engines and the turboprop’s ability to take off and land from short runways.
“The aircraft are pressurised and air-conditioned and are certified to fly at heights well above inclement weather. I’m delighted to be able to offer clients the latest version of the aircraft with improved fuel-efficiency, a faster cruising speed and the ability to operate up to 35,000 ft.”

DragonFly, which this year celebrates the 15th anniversary operates a fleet of five business aircraft.
DragonFly was found by Howard Palser to primarily to serve the South Wales business community, by providing a time-efficient and cost-effective means of travel to destinations throughout Europe.
His mission was to demonstrate that private charter was not the exclusive preserve of celebrities and the very wealthy, but should be viewed as a practical business tool enabling companies and individuals to save substantial amounts of valuable time by taking control of when and where they fly.
