Brains Returned as Official Brewer of Green Man Growler Pale Ale for Second Year

Brains Brewery has once again been selected by Green Man Festival to brew its official white label beer, Green Man Growler Pale Ale, for the 2026 event, which took place from August 20th to 23rd in Bannau Brycheiniog.

Green Man Growler Pale Ale has become a staple of the festival experience. Green Man's decision to commission Brains reflects a shared dedication to showcasing high-quality Welsh craft beer to the festival's 25,000 daily attendees from around the globe.

As an independent event, Green Man refuses traditional corporate drink sponsorship and pouring-rights deals. Instead, the festival directly purchases and hand-selects all beverages served across its bars, using its independence to create a unique promotional platform for the best local producers.

As one of Wales' most iconic breweries, Brains is proud to be showcasing local brewing talent at one of the country's biggest cultural events.

Nick Payne, Chief Executive Officer of Brains Brewery, said:

“We're delighted to be returning as the brewer of the Green Man Growler Pale Ale for a second consecutive year. Green Man is one of Wales' most celebrated cultural events, bringing together incredible music, food, and drink, and we're proud to be part of that experience once again.

“This arrangement offers a fantastic opportunity to champion Welsh brewing and put locally produced beer in front of thousands of festivalgoers and potential new customers. There's a real passion for independent beer in Wales, and we're excited to help celebrate that alongside Green Man.”

Fiona Stewart, Founder and Managing Director of Green Man Festival, said:

“Green Man is about celebrating and showcasing the very best of Wales, from our artists and food producers to our independent breweries. As an independent festival, we have the choice to refuse corporate sponsorships and pouring-rights deals. This leaves us free to hand-select every drink on our bars and create direct promotional opportunities for quality Welsh products.

“Who we work with matters deeply to us, as it is essential to the authentic Welsh experience expected by our audience. We're pleased to be working with Brains again this year; their commitment to Welsh brewing helps us shine a spotlight on the outstanding beers being produced across the country.”
