A new partnership between Bluestone National Park Resort and Latch, the Welsh children’s cancer charity, is launching this month.
It will mean families in Wales that are affected by childhood cancer will have the opportunity for a free holiday at the five-star Pembrokeshire resort.
The initiative is part of Latch’s ongoing commitment to supporting the wellbeing of families:
“We're delighted to be partnering with Bluestone National Park Resort for our new holiday offer for Latch families,” explains Menai Owen-Jones, CEO of Latch. “The resort has so much to offer families in all weathers and is located in a beautiful part of Pembrokeshire.
“A holiday can make a profound difference to the wellbeing of families affected by childhood cancer, providing a space to rest, reconnect and enjoy being together, away from the hospital setting. Latch's aim is to ensure that every family we are currently supporting has the opportunity to benefit from a holiday, regardless of a family's financial circumstances.”
Latch supports children with cancer and those undergoing cancer-like treatment who are under the care of the Paediatric Oncology Principal Treatment Centre in Wales at the Children’s Hospital in Cardiff. Families currently supported by Latch will be able to access a holiday and include children undergoing cancer treatment, or those who have recently completed treatment, and their immediate families, as well as bereaved families whose child has died of cancer.
This formal partnership builds on the strong relationship already established between Latch and Bluestone. In 2025, Bluestone hosted a special Christmas Party for families supported by the charity living in west Wales.
Sarah Chapman, sales and marketing director at Bluestone, said:
“We are so pleased to strengthen our relationship with Latch and we are proud to work with them. We look forward to welcoming the families to Bluestone, offering them the opportunity to enjoy our resort, away from hospital appointments and treatment schedules, and giving them time to relax, explore and enjoy nature.
“A childhood cancer diagnosis is an extremely difficult and stressful time for families. Our hope is that these breaks give families space to breathe, make memories and feel supported during an incredibly challenging journey.”
