Senior Management Promotions at Wilsons Auctions


Wilsons Auctions is delighted to announce the promotion of four of its senior management team as a result of significant growth across the company in recent years.

These key members of staff have been essential in the advancement of the company through acquisitions, innovation, increased work force and contract success across the UK, Ireland and worldwide.

Paul Clarkin – Finance Director

Paul has been appointed Finance Director having worked for Wilsons Auctions for 10 years. He came into the business as financial controller and has developed the finance function to work alongside and service the expanding business. Paul qualified as a chartered accountant in 1999 with a big four practice before working in a number of multi-national companies.

Aidan Larkin – Asset Recovery Director

Aidan Larkin has been appointed Asset Recovery Director having headed up the Asset Recovery Department over the past five years. Aidan manages nationwide government and law enforcement contracts and in recent years has focused on business development and innovation in emerging markets worldwide, most significantly being the driving force in development of the cryptocurrency service, a world first for a private auction company.

Craig Walker – Contracts Director

Now in his 21st year at Wilsons Auctions, Craig has been appointed Contracts Director. Overseeing the Contracts & Logistics Department, Craig is responsible for the operational delivery of all government and large sector clients and internal compliance in addition to managing all Online sales for the Wilsons Auctions Group. Craig additionally acts as contract manager for some of the company’s largest clients including HM Revenue & Customs and Border Force.

Nigel Binks – UK Vehicle Sales Manager

With 10 years of experience in the auction business, Nigel has been with Wilsons Auctions since February 2016 when the company acquired its Newcastle branch in the role of General Manager for both the Newcastle and Newport branches. Nigel has worked in the automotive industry for 37 years, working with some of the largest automotive businesses both in the UK and Middle East.

In his new role, Nigel will help the departments across the group maximise their existing business, attracting new buyers and vendors as well as developing operations from yard to inspection services and sales teams.
