Peter Lynn and Partners Raises £6.5k for Ty Hafan

A charity golf day organised by one of Wales' leading law firm has raised over £6.5k for Welsh charity Tŷ Hafan.

Peter Lynn and Partners Solicitors organised the charity day at Fairwood Park Golf Club, Gower as a fundraising event which saw over 100 golfers turn up.

Senior Partner at the law-firm, Peter Lynn, said,

“We have chosen Tŷ Hafan as our ‘charity of the year' and have committed to organising or supporting a wide range of events, all geared towards raising as much money as possible for this wonderful charity.”

Tŷ Hafan is Wales’ leading children’s charity and hospice and relies on support from members of the public and businesses to continue the comfort, care and support they offer to life-limited children, young people and their families, and fundraising events like this are vital to the on-going success of the hospice.

Sorrel Mayo, Corporate Partnership Manager at the charity, said,

“We are very grateful to Peter and his team for not only choosing us as their charity of the year but to organise such a fantastic fundraising event in aid of Tŷ Hafan.”

The golf day included a number of initiatives such as a halfway house selling refreshments, a raffle and an auction; all designed to encourage more donations with all proceeds going to the charity.

“In total, we raised £6,563.86”,

“and it's a reflection of the generosity of the teams and individuals who attended our event and joined us in our support of Tŷ Hafan.”
