The Development Bank of Wales has appointed Clare Sullivan as an Investment Executive in its Llanelli offices.
Clare is part of the New Investments team, building relationships around West Wales with professionals and business owners in order to help them grow and prosper.
She moved into her new role after 15 years as a relationship manager for small and medium-sized businesses at HSBC.
She said:
“My role as an Investment Executive allows me to meet with local businesses, discuss finance solutions which will inevitably allow that business to grow, create additional employment and add to the local economy. The variety of businesses that I have met and their requirements has been enlightening. From working capital loans and acquisition finance to management buy-outs, no two conversations or businesses are the same and the flexibility on how these deals can be structured is welcoming.”
Clare, a mum-of-two, says working at the development bank also allows her to have a good work/ life balance as it encourages and supports flexible working.
“I have two small children and work full-time, so it is essential for me to work for a company who will allow flexible working. I am working with great colleagues who are all very supportive and approachable and very much committed to growing the Welsh economy. I am looking forward to what the future holds for me at the bank. Being involved with local companies and seeing them grow and prosper is very rewarding and something that I am very passionate about.”
The Development Bank of Wales has offices around the country, in Llanelli, Cardiff, St Asaph and a headquarters in Wrexham. There are currently 181 employees in Wales.
