Senior Test Engineer
Position Description
Job Title: Senior Test Engineer

Profile Description
Bombora is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to lead the planning, execution and reporting of system integration tests required in the mWave development programme. The preferred candidate has experience of developing electro-mechanical products that must operate first time in very demanding environments. They will also be required to manage a number of our suppliers as they complete the design and build of various sub-systems. The role is based out of its Pembroke Dock offices and supports the engineering of the first mWave device.
Main Responsibilities
- Leads process for defining test objectives and develops detailed system integration test plans for dry and wet testing.
- Manage the design, build and integration of specific work packages.
- Contract management of suppliers delivering design services and hardware
- Collaborate with test machinery operators and SCADA hardware specialist also involved in delivering the tests
- Manages the post processing of results, verification, quality control
- Manages preparation of comprehensive test reports for review
- Maintain project management documentation
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Engineering
- Direct experience of contract management
- Extensive experience in physical testing, preferably in a range of test types
- Extensive product development and requirements management experience
- Full and Current EU Drivers Licence
Required Competencies
- Very good, practical understanding of a broad range of engineering disciplines
- Very good understanding of test procedures and measurement theory
- Good data management and processing skills
- Familiarity with marine renewable energy technology
- Effective technical communicator, good spoken and written English
- Good analytical, organisational and QA/QC skills
- Ability to work proactively individually or as part of a team
- Motivated and able to meet schedule demands

The Senior Test Engineer reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer.

- Identifies and procures equipment and services required to deliver the test plans
- Collaborate with test machinery operators and SCADA hardware specialist also involved in delivering the tests
- Develop quality assurance plans including instrument calibration, data verification and robust data workflows
- Post processing of results, verification, quality control. Conduct sufficient data interpretation to confirm that the test objectives are addressed
- Preparation of comprehensive test reports for review
- Maintain project management documentation
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree/HND in Engineering
- Experience in physical testing, preferably in a range of test types
- Product development and requirements management experience
