Description
Members of staff from the Royal Society’s Grants department will be holding an information event at Cardiff University on the 26th of March.
The Royal Society funds research in the natural and physical sciences, including engineering, but excluding clinical medicine.
The Society offers a variety of grants and research fellowships in the following categories:
- Early career fellowships
- Senior career fellowships
- Industry, innovation and research capacity awards
- International fellowships and awards
The Society will providing an overview of the available funding opportunities as well as practical advice on how to put together a successful application. Two Research Fellows currently funded by the Society will provide their perspectives on their experiences of applying for and holding an award from the Society. There will be a Q&A session and a networking session to conclude the event and to allow prospective applicants to ask individual questions about the Society’s funding portfolio.

This event is open to researchers from across Wales and the South West of England but places are limited so interested parties should register as soon as possible.
