Newport is set to come alive with laughter as the city’s first-ever comedy trail brings a vibrant line-up of comedians to venues across the city centre and surrounding areas.
On Saturday 31 January 2026, Comedi Casnewydd will be host to both well-known and upcoming comedians to entertain all ages. As well as stand-up acts for adults, there will also be comedy workshops for children to take part in.
Councillor Emma Corten, the council's Cabinet member for communications and culture, said:
“We are starting the new year as we mean to go on, with some fantastic events in the city. What better way to start the year than with laughter?
“Just like Newport Music Trail, I am looking forward to seeing the different venues in Newport host a wide variety of comedy acts, reminding both residents and visitors of what the city has to offer.”
