A team of CRM specialists based in Monmouthshire came out triumphant in the 2025 Oysho Cardiff Half Marathon Business Challenge.
This year 79 teams competed in the challenge, but it was JB Consultancy CRM Specialists who were crowned victorious taking home a trophy and entries into next year’s race.
The Business Challenge sees corporate teams come together and compete to be the fastest firm.
The fastest average time wins, with each runner completing the full event distance and the fastest five times from each team count towards the end result.
While the challenge inspires some healthy competition, taking part together is also a fantastic team building exercise or charity fundraising and CSR activity.
James Brown at JB Consultancy said:
“A huge thank you to Run 4 Wales for organising such a fantastic event. The atmosphere on the day was brilliant, and our team at JB Consultancy was thrilled to come away as winners of the Business Challenge. We’re already looking forward to coming back next year to defend the title!”
Matt Newman, Chief Executive at event organisers Run 4 Wales, added:
“A huge congratulations to the team at JB Consultancy for winning this year’s Oysho Cardiff Half Marathon Business Challenge. There was some stiff competition out on the course with nearly 80 teams taking part, so the team must be thrilled with their new title. We’re looking forward to welcoming them back to the event next year to see if they can hold on to that top spot.”
The Business Challenge is available for corporate teams of five or more to take part in across R4W events including the ABP Newport Marathon Festival on Sunday 19 April, Barry Island 10K on Sunday 17 May, Porthcawl 10K on Sunday 5 July, CDF 10K on Sunday 6 September and the Cardiff Half Marathon on Sunday 4 October.
For those looking to take on an even bigger challenge, R4W organises bespoke team building events such as the annual Dell Technologies Management Challenge. The two-day adventure race designed to develop team skills, push boundaries and allows individuals to learn more about themselves, all while being immersed in the great outdoors.
