The Welsh Government’s Chief Economist is set to speak at an event at Cardiff Business School.
Dr Thomas Nicholls will present key insights from the Wales Economic and Fiscal Report 2025 at the event, which is hosted by the Wales Forum of the Productivity Institute.
Dr Nicholls will provide an overview of the economic and fiscal context for the draft 2026-27 Welsh Government budget, highlighting key trends in economic output, productivity, household living standards and the labour market.
Professors Melanie Jones and Max Munday from Cardiff Business School and the Wales Productivity Forum will join a panel discussion on the challenges and opportunities ahead for the Welsh economy.
The free event is set to take place on Tuesday, November 4 from 4:30pm to 5:30pm at the Executive Education Suite, Postgraduate Teaching Centre, Cardiff Business School. Attendees can join the discussion in person or online.
