Hensol Castle Distillery Announces ‘Game-Changing’ Molson Coors Listing

Hensol Castle Distillery has announced a new agreement with Molson Coors Beverage Company to list four of its lines.

The agreement will see a selection of the distillery’s award-winning spirits available to bars, pubs, restaurants and leisure venues across the UK through the Molson Coors network.

The new agreement marks a significant step in Hensol Castle Distillery’s growth beyond its South Wales roots, introducing its craft spirits to a broader on-trade audience nationwide. Featured in the initial rollout are the Hensol Castle Welsh Dry Gin (70cl), Hensol Castle Spiced Rum (70cl), Benjamin Hall Vodka (1.5L), and Benjamin Hall London Dry Gin (1.5L).

Chris Leeke, Managing Director and co-founder of Hensol Castle Distillery, said:

“This partnership is a game-changer for us. Working with Molson Coors allows our spirits to reach new audiences and brings our castle-crafted quality to bars and restaurants right across the UK. We are incredibly proud of what we produce here in South Wales, and we cannot wait to see our bottles behind bars nationwide.”

Martin Anderson, Regional Sales Controller, from Molson Coors, said:

“We're excited to add Hensol Castle to our extensive on-trade distribution portfolio, bringing the unique offering of their portfolio to customers near and far. Hensol Castle Distillery is located near our National Contact Centre, who are particularly excited about this partnership and the opportunity to share Hensol Castle with customers locally.”

The move gives Molson Coors customers access to a curated selection of spirits that includes Hensol Castle Welsh Dry Gin, Hensol Castle Spiced Rum, and the historically inspired Benjamin Hall house-pour range. The latter pays homage to former Hensol Castle resident Benjamin Hall, who played a key role in restoring the Houses of Parliament and may have even inspired the name of Big Ben.

This announcement follows a strong first half of the year for the distillery, which has seen a number of exclusive partnerships and distribution deals agreed across both the hospitality and retail sectors.

Alongside this new distribution deal, Hensol Castle Distillery already supplies a number of national supermarket retail chains including M&S, Asda, Tesco and Morrisons, bringing its premium spirits to consumers at home. The distillery also offers a white-label service, partnering with a range of hospitality and retail brands to develop bespoke spirits crafted and bottled on-site.
