Lancer Scott to Refurbish 70,000 sq. ft at Cardiff City Centre Building

Lancer Scott has been appointed to lead the landlord refurbishment works at Cardiff city centre office building One Central Square.

The project, which is now under way, will see the nine-storey office block undergo a comprehensive refurbishment which will deliver 70,000 sq. ft of prime office space being marketed via property consultants Knight Frank.

The £1.5 million programme of works includes a full strip out across six floors, removal of redundant plant and equipment, and reinstatement to open plan layouts.

Richard Wooller, Partner at Knight Frank Project and Building Consultancy, said:

“One Central Square is a major and complex project, and we are excited to be working on such a high-profile instruction. This refurbishment will deliver much needed Grade A office space in the heart of Cardiff’s most sought-after office locations.”

As part of the CAT A refurbishment being delivered on behalf of the landlord, Lancer Scott will revitalise the office space, enhancing functionality and aesthetics.

Richard Jones, Director at Lancer Scott Construction West, said:

“We are delighted to be appointed as Principal Contractor on this scheme, delivering Grade A style office suites across five floors. The building is in a prime spot in the city, located next to Cardiff Central train station and the new Cardiff Bus Interchange, and the upgrade will not only make it an appealing choice for modern day occupiers, but will be in keeping with the building’s strong ESG credentials.”

The project will complete by the end of the summer.
