Atradius, one of the UK’s largest credit insurers, has been recognised for its commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive workplace, winning the prestigious Wellbeing Company of the Year award at the Wales HR Awards 2025.
The honour comes as the firm marks its 100th anniversary. The company has rolled out a suite of policies and initiatives designed to support staff, increase diversity, and create equal opportunities for all.
Its Gender Equality Focus Group has outreach initiatives inspiring more women to pursue careers in IT and finance. Atradius has seen a positive reduction in its Gender Pay Gap, and says it will continue to drive gender equality through targeted recruitment, succession planning and leadership development programmes.
“Atradius’ dedication to employee wellbeing goes beyond policies – it’s about action and people led initiatives,” said Olivia Burgess, Senior HR Business Partner.
“Winning this award is a testament to our efforts, but we know there’s still more to be done. We are committed to continuing our journey towards enhancing wellbeing for all.”
The company’s ESG Committee, led by senior figures across the organisation, ensures sustainability and inclusion remain high on the agenda, the firm said. A key objective is increasing female representation on the management Board, bringing a broader range of perspectives to leadership.
In response to the cost-of-living crisis, Atradius has introduced multiple financial support initiatives, including direct cost-of-living payments, subsidised staff restaurant and financial wellbeing webinars held by experts in the field. These efforts have contributed to an increase in employee satisfaction and retention, particularly among the under 35s age group, the firm said.
