Cygnet Gin Takes Home Silver at The Spirits Business Global Gin Masters 2023

The Global Gin Masters take place every year in a drive to find and reward the finest gin brands on the world stage.

Chaired by The Spirits Business and a panel of leading spirits specialists, the spirits are judged in a blind tasting.

This year, both Cygnet Welsh Dry Gin and Cygnet 22, founded by the UK’s most successful classical singer Katherine Jenkins OBE and artist and social-impact filmmaker Andrew Levitas, entered for the first time and both garnered Silver Medals.

Cygnet Welsh Dry received a Silver Medal in the Super Premium (£31-£35) category with tasting notes that included biscuity and nutty, light juniper aroma and also coming through on the palate with a touch of floral. Cygnet 22, which launched in the UK this June also received
a Silver Medal in the Ultra-Premium (£36+) category, spotlighting a nice creaminess to the mouthfeel with a straw, dried grass, cereal quality on the nose.

Born from the desire to break the mould in a traditionally male-dominated spirits industry, the Cygnet range has made a splash globally, with pre-orders of Cygnet 22 selling out in record time, within a week. It has also become a category disruptor against its competitors in other
areas including production, where the team have designed a bottle that weighs up to 50% less than the average spirits bottle. Both Cygnet 22 and the Welsh Dry Gin are 100% plasticfree, fully recyclable and printed using environmentally friendly and organic ink, emphasising
the sustainability and ultra-premium nature of the range.

Cygnet Welsh Dry Gin is made using pure Welsh water and 12 types of botanicals from around the world, whilst Cygnet 22 is
distilled with 22 botanicals, with the unique addition of Manuka Honey, chosen by Katherine for its healing properties, allowing for both to be sipped on the rocks and mixed into cocktails.
