Orthios Appoints Business Development Manager

Orthios Eco Parks (Anglesey) Ltd has appointed Annie Edwards as its head of business development to coincide with the commissioning of a materials recycling facility (MRF) at its site at Holyhead.

Annie joins the company after five years of working elsewhere in the recycling industry, most recently in selling/buying roles with CHB Waste Management and Clearpoint Recycling.

Her new post will involve finding and liaising with end users of the cardboards, metals, recyclable plastics and other dry commodities recovered by the MRF and expanding the list of inorganic waste generators using the site.

Orthios envisages that its MRF will be handling circa 160,000 tonnes of inorganic waste a year by the end of 2021 and taking from it around 30,000 tonnes of hard-to-recycle plastics annually for conversion into a low-carbon oil using its ground-breaking Plastics-to-Oil process.
