Following new restrictions announced by the Prime Minister last night, some services provided by Newport Now BID that involve outdoor working or face-to-face contact have been suspended with immediate effect.
These include our Ambassadors, who ended patrols yesterday, and the Savings Advisory Service delivered in partnership with Meercat.

The BID’s Covid-19 online help and support resource is being updated on a daily basis and features links to business support available from the Welsh and UK governments, HR advice, and information from Newport City Council. The BID, which will be managing around £1.3 million worth of investment in the city centre over the next five years and represents more than 600 businesses, has also set up an online survey for businesses to explain the impact the Covid-19 crisis is having on them.
The results of the survey, which closes at 5pm on Friday, will be shared with key decision-makers at local and national level, and will help inform the BID’s lobbying and other actions in the coming weeks.
