Join FSB Wales and Cardiff Business School on 5th July at Cardiff University for our conference on digital innovation and how it can resonate with smaller firms.

• Will SMEs start to automate processes?
• What impact will that have on their workforce? How will artificial intelligence disrupt established business practices?
• What will happen to those small firms that don’t adopt digital innovations?

These are the sorts of questions we’ll be aiming to answer.

Digital innovation presents a challenge and an opportunity to small and medium-sized enterprises. As digital innovation through automation and artificial intelligence continues to gather pace small firms are faced with a digital dilemma on how to adopt and adapt to new practices.

The conference will aim to mix businesses, academics and decision makers to explore the issue of digital innovation and how it will impact on micro, small and medium sized firms across Wales.

We hope the conference will be action orientated and we plan to take the key messages from the day to start an onward conversation on what SMEs and government can do together to ensure Wales is at the leading edge of adoption of digital innovation.

This session will aslo coincide with Welsh Government’s ongoing review of digital innovation, artificial intelligence and automation which is being led by Cardiff University’s Professor Phil Brown.

The conference will also be a fantastic networking opportunity for anyone interested in this area.
