11th Cardiff Business Awards Now Open for Entries

Cardiff Business Awards

Entries are now open for the Cardiff Business Awards, which are now in their 11th year.

The awards – which honour the businesses driving innovation, resilience, and growth across the capital – return on November 14 2025 at the Holland House Hotel in the city.

Leader of Cardiff Council Cllr Huw Thomas said:

“The Cardiff Business Awards remain one of the largest city celebrations of business in Wales and across the UK. This year we will be celebrating the 11th anniversary. Over the lifetime of the awards the city’s economy has continued to transform itself despite strong headwinds. There still remains significant macro challenges for our businesses and communities to deal with while interventions by the President of the USA are introducing additional areas of uncertainty for businesses and the economy.

“Despite these ongoing challenges businesses across the city have supported the business awards in large numbers and have consistently demonstrated in their applications how they are contributing to growth, resilience and innovation in our economy and communities. I am sure this year we will continue to see via the entries, the significant contributions businesses in Cardiff continue to make to the challenge of achieving growth in our economy, an objective set by the UK and Welsh Governments.”

Go.Compare has joined as the headline sponsor for this year’s awards.

Lee Griffin, Go.Compare Founder, said:

“Go.Compare has its roots here in Cardiff and Wales, so we're really proud to have the opportunity to show our support and cheer on other businesses by sponsoring the awards.”

Other new category sponsors are Cardiff Gold, Dale Building Maintenance, and Premier Asset Finance. The Awards are also welcoming back Cardiff Metropolitan University and Visit Cardiff as returning category sponsors.

Liz Brookes, Director of the Cardiff Business Awards and Grapevine Event Management, said:

“Now in its 11th year, the Cardiff Business Awards continues to shine a spotlight on the incredible talent, innovation, and resilience within our city’s business community. Each year, the awards celebrate the individuals and organisations driving Cardiff forward, and we are proud to provide a platform that recognises their success.

“We are delighted to welcome Go.Compare as our new headline sponsor, whose support marks an exciting new chapter for the event. Their partnership, along with that of our valued category sponsors, strengthens our mission to champion business excellence across the capital.

“This year, we are also proud to introduce an exceptional panel of judges. Leading the panel as Chair of Judges is Jessica Leigh-Jones MBE, joined by Ken Poole MBE, Warren Lewis, and Agnes Xavier-Phillips JP DL. We are honoured to have these distinguished individuals lend their time and expertise to help us recognise and celebrate the very best of Cardiff’s business community.

“We look forward to receiving entries from across the city and to celebrating another outstanding year of enterprise, achievement, and ambition.”
