Trio of Senior Appointments to Support Growth at North Wales Healthcare Firm

As part of their strategic plans for growth, Reacta Healthcare, based in Deeside North Wales, has made three senior appointments in the commercial, new product and people functions of the business. These new hires will support the company to bolster its commitment to the food allergy arena.

The company produces challenge meals, which are used as oral food challenges (OFCs) to accurately diagnose food allergy. Reacta Healthcare’s new team members will support the rapidly expanding development product and service pipeline. The second US patent1 it was granted this month will further secure Reacta Healthcare’s international presence, adding to patents it already holds in Europe, Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, and the UK.

Belinda Mortell joins as business development manager and will enhance customer service for key clients using her experience as a Registered Dietitian and Chartered Management Accountant. She comments:

“It’s great to be back in the food allergy world, with my experience from Danone Nutricia. I’m impressed by the vast expertise and knowledge within the team at Reacta Healthcare. I can’t wait to contribute to moving the business forward with this great team – I can say with confidence that we have a healthy business pipeline that will help us go from strength to strength.”

Also joining is Hayley Lett who will be responsible for New Product Development (NPD), utilising her experience as NPD manager at diary ice dream manufacturer The Beechdean Group. Hayley says:

“I’ve joined at an exciting time for the business, and it’s my honour to be part of such a proactive and forward-thinking team. Our new NPD suite will give us the chance to execute our many innovative projects developing product from initial concept stages to market launch.”

A new head of people, Sophie Griffiths, will grow the people agenda, raising Reacta Healthcare’s employee headcount to give it the effective workforce required to meet business objectives. Sophie says:

“Joining Reacta Healthcare during this growth period has been very exciting and rewarding. I have a unique opportunity to grow the people agenda from a blank sheet of paper. The culture here is just fantastic; open, collaborative and the passion that our employees have for our business is second to none!”

Generating a 3-fold increase in clients over the past 12 months, Reacta Healthcare has quadrupled its employee headcount to support this rapid growth. It is actively recruiting for experienced and skilled staff including a large number of scientific and technology vacancies.

Reacta Healthcare is currently developing its in-house analysis capability and has plans in place to expand into new areas of food allergen development and manufacture.

The company is based at Deeside Industrial Park which sits within Deeside Enterprise Zone, a hot bed for manufacturing and innovation in North Wales.
