With Christmas just around the corner, event experts at Cardiff’s leading science discovery centre Techniquest are advising people to finalise party plans before it’s too late.

Providing the solution to last minute Christmas stress, the educational charity is hosting its own shared parties (14 Dec) but advises against last minute booking to avoid disappointment.

Taking place in the organisation’s architecturally celebrated building and set against the unique backdrop of Mermaid Quay, shared parties at Techniquest will also bring out guests’ inner child as they get the chance to enjoy its two floors of interactive exhibits.

They’ll also be able to enjoy the centre’s innovative augmented reality experience, interacting with dinosaurs, astronauts and penguins.

Without the need to hire the entire venue, the shared party packages allow those embracing the Christmas spirit to enjoy the experience of a high-end party while sticking to a modest budget.

Enjoying a hearty menu inspired by the traditions of Christmas, party guests can look forward to butternut squash velouté, a roast turkey dinner, and indulge their sweet tooth with a double chocolate tart with pastry and blood orange sorbet.

Gareth McTiffin, Events Manager at Techniquest said:

“Whilst the clock is ticking to get your Christmas party sorted, we have limited spaces available for our unique shared party packages.

“Whether you’re hurrying to find a party for the whole office, or looking for a smaller celebration for your team, there’s no need to panic.

“Working with Cleverchefs to create the ultimate Christmas feast and providing two floors of hands-on exhibitions in our prime location in Cardiff Bay, we’re really on top of our game and ready to provide Christmas parties with a difference. We’d advise people to get their skates on to avoid disappointment, December will be here before we know it!”
