St David’s Cardiff has won Best Marketing Campaign of the Year (Medium) Purple Apple at this year’s Revo’s, an annual celebration hosted by  the UK’s leading membership organisation focused on retail and leisure-led real estate.

The awards showcase excellence, innovation, and achievement within the sector and are widely regarded as the benchmark for excellence in the retail property industry, championing the most innovative and impactful contributions across the UK. For nearly 40 years, the annual awards have showcased the best in development, investment, asset management, operations, customer experience, and destination marketing in the sector.

The Revo Purple Apple Awards specifically recognise community and marketing initiatives that demonstrate creativity, impact, and the ability to engage with the community.

Following deliberation from the judging panel, St David’s Cardiff was ultimately named the winner for the Best Marketing Campaign (Medium) award, which recognises the most effective and innovative marketing campaigns in the retail destination industry, with a campaign budget of £5,000 to £25,000.

Selected for their outstanding work on ‘The Wonder Wall’ in the wake of the cultural phenomenon of Oasis’ reunion, the judges recognised the innovative art display’s creativity and clear execution in turning a visual spectacle into an event that connected with visitors, engaged with audiences and brought the destination to life.

“The annual Revo’s once again highlighted the outstanding achievements taking place across the sector, with a strong turnout from leading professionals, organisations, and innovators. St David’s Cardiff was an exemplary execution of a reactive event, seizing a moment for a highly anticipated reunion and turning it into a vital opportunity for visitors to connect. A huge congratulations to the team for their efforts, and to the other shortlisted nominees for their brilliant work within the sector.”

Helen Morgan, Centre Director at St David’s Cardiff, said:

“We’re absolutely thrilled to have been recognised with a Best Marketing Campaign award at the Revo’s. Our ‘Wonder Wall’ activation was a truly special event for the centre, one that captured the spirit and togetherness of the Oasis comeback – a global tour which started here in Cardiff and had the eyes of the world on it. We wanted to do something celebratory for our guests and all those who attended the gig, and this award is testament to the creativity, passion and commitment of everyone involved.”
