An entrepreneur has launched a property platform inspired by her attempt to juggle a property investment career with parenthood.
After years of IVF, a difficult pregnancy and a traumatic birth, Katie Honeychurch said she found herself questioning whether becoming a mum meant giving up on property investing altogether.
Now she has launched PatchRight™, a platform that sends investors property opportunities to their WhatsApp, and posts the letter to the homeowner on a single reply.
Katie said she had previously spent hours every week searching property portals and software, researching opportunities and trying to get hold of estate agents.

“Standing in Sainsbury's with my daughter screaming in the trolley, I remember thinking, maybe property just isn't designed for people like me anymore,” said Katie. “Then it clicked. The problem wasn't becoming a mum. The problem was that the industry still expects you to have endless hours to spend behind a laptop.”
PatchRight™ gives each investor an exclusive set of postcode districts, one investor per area, and watches them around the clock. Inside those districts it surfaces every property newly on the market, and the properties whose sellers are showing signs of being ready to deal.
“Although life with a one-year-old is wonderfully chaotic and sleep is still in short supply, I've rediscovered a part of myself by building businesses while raising my daughter,” said Katie. “I hope my story resonates with other parents who are determined not to lose sight of their ambitions just because life has changed.
“Technology should adapt to people's lives, not expect people to adapt to technology. Property investing can be for anyone. We just need more tools that make it fit around a real life.”
