Rachel Mackichan is an HR Executive with the new Development Bank of Wales. She says there couldn’t be a better time to think about joining the organisation….
As 2018 approaches, we’re growing and we need people like you to join our team.
We’re one of the largest regional investment organisations in the UK and the only one of its kind in Wales.
We’re shortly opening our headquarters in Wrexham and increasing our presence across Wales. We’re bigger and better than ever before. Certainly, our team is loving the new brand.
You see, it is a real privilege to be part of the new Development Bank of Wales. We’ve got some really exciting plans and we are all absolutely focused on delivering what Welsh businesses need. That means in the next five years we are aiming to support as many as 1,400 businesses through £1 billion of total combined investment from private sector and ourselves.
We are here to provide commercial investment in the form of loans and equity from £1,000 to £5 million for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-cap businesses based in Wales or willing to move here. This is to support everything from very early-stage technology businesses, start-ups, property development companies and established growing businesses. In fact, thanks to the funds we nowmanage we can support more Welsh businesses than ever before.
All of our lending decisions are made locally in Wales, by people who understand the Welsh economy and who live and work in the communities which they support. It’s the people that make the Develeopment Bank of Wales a success. That’s why we are looking for experienced people who are looking for a new challenge to come and join us.
We offer a great package including a competitive salary, discretionary incentive scheme and 30 days leave plus bank holidays. Full terms are on our website, but our staff would tell you that we have a can-do attitude and have our customers at the heart of everything we do.It really couldn’t be a better time to think about a career with us. But, don’t just take our word for it.
