A new consultancy and coaching business is offering strategic consultancy, organisational development, and leadership coaching to help education providers, public bodies, and purpose-driven organisations deliver on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act, and their wider civic missions.
Founded and led by Dr Tom Tatchell, an experienced higher education and public service leader, Better Generation Solutions brings together more than 15 years of leadership experience in strategic education delivery, organisational transformation, sustainability leadership, and cross-sector partnership working.
“I launched Better Generation Solutions because there is an immediate business need for current practices to change and align with the Sustainable Development Goals and the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act. The issue is that many organisations don’t know where to start,” said Tom.
“Better Generation Solutions works with a network of associates who each bring their own expertise and insight to help drive long-lasting, positive change. At heart, we want the world to be a better place – and we want to help others take the practical steps needed to get there.”
Better Generation Solutions provides services across three core areas:
- Education – providing executive coaching and leadership development for senior leaders and teams, alongside consultancy on professional learning, curriculum and programme design, and training across the education and public service sectors.
- Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) – supporting organisations to build inclusive cultures, embed EDI principles into strategy, operations and learning environments, and ensure equitable experiences and outcomes for all learners and staff.
- Sustainability – advising on embedding sustainability into leadership practice, education, organisational strategy and governance – supporting clients to drive long-term impact and positive change.
The business is looking to collaborate with education providers, public sector bodies, membership organisations, and other mission-led enterprises across Wales and the UK.
