As temperatures have soared across the summer, nearly 1000 residents of Riverside and Grangetown attended free events that had everything from fire engines, chickens, glitter tattoos, start up business advice and home maintenance demonstrations.
The events were hosted by Taff which is a successful community-based Housing Association with over 1400 homes in the Canton, Fairwater, Grangetown, Riverside and Butetown areas of Cardiff.
Chief Executive Elaine Ballard describes the day as;
“a genuine opportunity for Taff to provide a free, fun, family oriented day out that has something for everyone. Given the economic climate we understand how difficult it is for parents to entertain their children in an affordable way throughout the school holidays and this is a brilliant day out for all ages”.
The Family Fundays are an annual event for Taff and ensure a good day out at no cost to the parents whilst showcasing local businesses and opportunities to residents of the areas.
