The group which includes law firm Greenaway Scott, corporate finance boutique Verde Corporate Finance and patent attorney business Alchemie IP, specialises in Mergers & Acquisition advice, Corporate Law, Commercial Contracts, Intellectual Property, Commercial Property and Corporate Finance Advisory. It now employs 40 people across the Group.

Nigel Greenaway, Director of Corporate and CEO of GS Verde Group, said:

“We’re thrilled to have the backing of HSBC UK to support our growth in the South West. As first-time customers, we turned to the bank due to their ability to offer growth capital to the business and for its excellent understanding of scale-up businesses. Our Relationship Manager, Joel Dunning, has offered his expertise during the process and we look forward to building our relationship with the bank in the future.”

David Butler, HSBC UK Area Director for Bristol, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire, commented:

“We’re delighted to be working with such a well-established and successful business with roots in the South West. HSBC UK is committed to the support and development of businesses like Nigel and Rhian’s across the region and it’s great to see such passionate business leaders being able to expand their team and services.”

The funding package from HSBC UK was allocated from the bank’s £550 million SME Fund which supports SMEs across Bristol, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.
