Glamorgan Telecom Sponsoring Cardiff Charity Ice Hockey Fundraiser

Cardiff-based telecoms company, Glamorgan Telecom will be getting behind the Breast Cancer Care hockey team at this year’s UK Forums All-Stars Ice Hockey weekend fundraiser in Cardiff.

UK Forums All-Stars is an organisation which arranges charity weekends where ice hockey players, from beginners to semi-pro, come together to raise money for worthwhile charities.

The all-star weekend has been held at venues across the UK to support numerous charities including Breast Cancer Care, Autism Plus, Marie Curie, Prostate Cancer UK, Help for Heroes, Ty Hafan, and the Welsh Air Ambulance.

The 9th All-Star weekend will see the event return to Cardiff, with hundreds of competitors playing at the Wales Ice Arena between July 29 and 31.

Glamorgan Telecom has sponsored the Breast Cancer Care hockey team, contributing to the team’s target of raising £10,000 for the Breast Cancer Care charity.

Kelly Bolderson, managing director for Glamorgan Telecom, said:

“We are very happy to sponsor the Breast Cancer Hockey team ahead of the UK Forums All-Stars Ice Hockey weekend in Cardiff.  The event promises to be a fantastic one for the spectators and it’s great to help raise funds for such a wonderful charity that is close to many people’s hearts.”

James Morgan, one of the players and fundraisers for the Breast Cancer Care hockey team said:

“I am overwhelmed by the kindness of Glamorgan Telecom for donating to Team Breast Cancer Care.

“Their generous donation will help people attend a breast awareness workshop and help make sure that they’re able to spot the signs of breast cancer early. Health education is paramount in combating cancer!

“Our team is so close to achieving its fundraising target of £10,000, the biggest target set to date, so this has helped spur us all on.”
