The shortlist has been announced for the 8th Cardiff Business Awards today. The finalists reflect the fantastic businesses and entrepreneurs from our Capital City.

The Cardiff Business Awards now in its 8th year were created to celebrate the excellent businesses and entrepreneurs within Cardiff. This year 64 companies and entrepreneurs have been shortlisted over 15 categories. They will be invited to an interview with a panel of judges chaired by Louise Harris, Director and Co-Founder of Tramshed Tech.  The winners of each category, as well as the Cardiff Business of the Year, will be announced at the awards evening which will be held on Friday 11th November at City Hall, Cardiff and hosted once again by broadcaster, Jamie Owen.

Commenting on this year’s finalists, Louise Harris; Chair of Judges said

“It is fantastic to see the great calibre of the entries this year. The interest in the awards really does demonstrate the strength of businesses in our region and the huge impact they make.

It is pleasing to see so many businesses continuing to excel through challenging circumstances.

I am really excited for the awards dinner. It always offers so much inspiration to those who attend and is also a great chance to celebrate.

Good luck to all who are shortlisted, it will be an extra hard job for the judges this year!”

This year the awards are sponsored by: Euroclad Group, Cardiff Metropolitan University, Charles Stanley Wealth Managers, Genesis Biosciences, Landsec, Living Wage Wales, Ogi, Vindico, Visit Cardiff, United Worldwide Logistics, Lexon Group, Stills, Business News Wales and Cleartech Live.

Darren Stewart, Commercial Director, Euroclad Group commented:

“I was overwhelmed to see the list of such high calibre local businesses that have entered this year's Cardiff Business Awards, from across such a broad range of sectors too. I'm extremely happy that the awards will give the opportunity for some of the best businesses in Cardiff to receive recognition for what they do. The dedication of all of those businesses that entered this year is apparent which is what made it extremely difficult to determine this shortlist. Congratulations to all those that were shortlisted, and good luck!”

The awards are owned by Grapevine Event Management, Liz Brookes, co-founder of the awards, added: “We are really pleased to announce the shortlist for the 8th Cardiff Business Awards. Every year it is a nearly impossible task to shortlist the amazing businesses we have in Cardiff and we are looking forward to meeting them for the next stage of the judging process and celebrating with them all at the award ceremony in November.”
