The Heritage Park Hotel, based in the scenic Rhondda Valleys, has announced that their extensive renovations are now complete.

The hotel has undergone a full overhaul, and the new upgrades have totalled over £1 million. The Heritage Park Hotel, currently under new management, is headed up by Jonathan Smith, who has handpicked his new team from the best that the area has to offer. The team is from a wide variety of hospitality backgrounds, and he has ensured that the best possible people are running everything from front of house to housekeeping. This brand new team, coupled with the renovations, makes for a whole new experience.

The new look is sleek, modern and ready to welcome guests, and each area has been carefully thought out for the maximum comfort of any guests, from the plush mattresses and soft furnishings in the bedrooms to the intimate surroundings of the Loft Restaurant and Bar. Starting with the clean and spacious outer areas, guests are welcomed into a warm and inviting space, balancing modern elements with small touches of the regions historical past to anchor the rooms.

The hotel is built on the site of the old Lewis Merthyr Colliery and is adjacent to a museum dedicated to the subject. As such, the hotel has nods to this past life, such as some industrial decorative details and pictures from this era. The beams in the restaurant also have a fascinating past, having been lifted from the Old Cardiff Docks.

The bedrooms have been transformed into safe havens for travellers, with our comfortable rooms ranging from the classic king room, which comes with a king sized bed, to the luxurious Executive Suite. All of these rooms feature luxury mattresses, a television, chair and tea and coffee facilities as standard, while the upgraded rooms feature super king beds and Nespresso machines. The Executive Suite is the most impressive of all, with a luxury bathroom, and a comfortable lounge area, that is sure to make for a memorable visit.

The restaurant has also undergone significant improvements, with chefs expertly sourced to craft a selection of new menus full of exciting and innovative dishes. Only the best quality food is served here, and the Heritage Park Hotel wants to provide its guests with memorable and good tasting food. The kitchen team, fronted by Head Chef Adam has been expertly selected from a variety of culinary backgrounds, to create the perfect blend of talent.

As a significant part of the renovations, the hotel has been restructured to host weddings and events, and they have appointed two events coordinators as a result. The coordinators are a vital part of this new process, as they are solely dedicated to planning functions, so customers will get the full attention and dedication that they deserve. Weddings are growing in popularity here, as people are starting to re-discover the Heritage Park Hotel and what it has to offer.

The Heritage Park Hotel is proud to be an emerging business located at the start of the Rhondda Valleys. They are hoping to open up this area of Wales to new travellers while creating a relaxing environment for the local population to eat, drink and socialise. The company has completely overhauled its entire structure, including new management and team, is now looking forward to welcoming customers, old and new to experience the new and improved Heritage Park Hotel.

Jonathan Smith, manager of the Heritage Park Hotel, has said of the renovations:

“We are delighted with the way that the renovations have turned out, there was always masses of potential in this building, and I am glad that our vision has finally been brought to life. We are looking forward to providing guests with a relaxing stay away from home, plus we would love to become a hub for the local community. I am thrilled with the team that we have put together, and I am proud of our achievements in such a small space of time, on turning this hotel around, and I am excited to see where the future takes us.”
