Daish’s Holidays Appoints General Manager at its Somerset Hotel


Independent family-owned coach holiday group, Daish’s Holidays has recognised the skills of employee Steve Slater and awarded him with a promotion to general manager of the Somerset Hotel in Llandudno.

Steve, formerly the assistant manager at the hotel, has more than 12 years’ hospitality industry experience and since joining the company in 2021 has shown rapid progress. As general manager he now heads a 31-strong team at the 84-room Somerset Hotel, and his main responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of the hotel operations including guest services, front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, catering, as well as recruitment and training.

Steve says:

“I’m very pleased that I have been given the opportunity to manage the Somerset Hotel and am looking forward to ensuring all our customers receive the best possible service.”
