Northop Business School has launched its innovative HNC Flex programme, giving employers and employees the freedom to pick, mix, and ‘flex’ the modules they study.
Learners can take bitesize courses, stack them and build credits toward the full qualification – a first for Coleg Cambria in partnership with education provider Pearson.
“This approach is brilliant for CPD,” said Jane Keys, Assistant Principal for Employer Engagement.
“It allows flexibility for people who are already in work, busy, or unable to commit to one full-time course.”
The first Flex module launching in October is the BTEC Level 4 Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Business – Unit 15 Operational Planning and Management.
Worth 15 credits toward the 120-credit full HNC, it will be delivered across eight six-hour sessions at Northop, developing the skills and knowledge needed to manage operational activities effectively, contribute to business success, and engage with wider aspects of the business environment.
The programme is aimed at a wide range of roles including current and prospective business administrators; operational, divisional, and departmental managers; employees looking to boost business effectiveness, and learners seeking to develop expertise in operations management, financial decision-making, and continuous improvement
Successful applicants can progress through further HNC Flex modules, including Business Management, opening up a wide range of career opportunities in planning, management, and business improvement.
Funding is available for eligible learners, particularly those living in Wrexham and Flintshire, through the Employer Skills programmes.
