Advantedge Commercial Finance (Advantedge) has secured Nick Gloyn as Regional Sales Manager responsible for continuing to develop Advantedges’ growing presence across the South West.

The appointment comes as Advantedge, a leading invoice finance provider, rolls out ambitious plans to increase their presence in the South West and Wales region capitalising on its acquisition of Newport based, Henry Howard Cashflow Finance business in 2018.

The move is one part of a continuing investment programme by the firm designed to focus on being closer to local businesses in order to provide the funding support they need to grow.  Expanding the team in the South West and Wales region is an essential part of the programme with their regional sales presence also continuing to grow in the South East, Thames Valley, Essex, London, Manchester, Liverpool and Yorkshire.  The firm has also been building successful client operational centres in the Thames Valley, The Midlands, Manchester, Glasgow in addition to Newport for the South West and Wales region.

Nick brings a wealth of experience having started his financial career in the banking sector notching up fourteen years most notably with Barclays Bank in business manager roles.  He moved into the invoice finance sector 5 years ago building his new business experience with Close Brothers and Siemens Financial Services before joining Advantedge.

The appointment comes at a time when the regions business community has gradually had to come to terms with the fact that political uncertainty, both domestically and internationally, seems to be the new norm.  Advantedge believe that businesses in the region have a crucial role to play in driving the economy and need to maintain their focus on growing their businesses.

As Nick continues:

“SMEs are vitally important to our local economy as they provide jobs and wealth.  We are committed to delivering a locally based operation which understands local businesses and their markets.  The opportunity to join a funder in the sector, with such a strong commercial perspective, access to large funding pools and a commitment to delivering a market leading service, was impossible to ignore. With funding facilities available up to £1.5m I am looking forward to supporting firms across the South West and their growth aspirations.”

Advantedge, who offer a full range of invoice finance facilities to small and medium sized businesses, have seen consistent growth having already funded over £2 billion worth of invoices to British SME’s and hope to significantly increase that number as they continue to expand their operation.  The business attributes this continued growth to delivering fast, flexible and straightforward finance solutions to clients on their own terms, which is aimed at delivering a transparent and professional service to both intermediaries and clients.

Bryn Ible, Regional Managing Director at Advantedge said:

“Nick is a great addition to the team and is perfectly placed to drive awareness of our financial solutions across the South West.  He has a strong track record in Business Development and knows how essential it is to build relationships at a local level both with SME’s and their advisors.  We have exciting plans in place to continue our growth though investment in the business and the region as we look to deliver financial solutions to support SME growth”.
