Associated British Ports (ABP), one of the biggest commercial landowners in the UK is further strengthening its property team with the move of Ben St Quintin into the Wales & Short Sea Ports region as the new Lead Property Development Manager. In his role, Ben will drive success across ABP’s UK property portfolio, covering 16 ports in Wales, the Southwest, East Anglia, the Northwest and Scotland.

Ben is a Chartered Surveyor and has been with ABP as a Property Development Manager since December 2021. Before joining ABP, Ben was a Partner at Alder King Property Consultants and has vast experience of leading major acquisitions and disposals, as well as managing pre-development technical and planning matters.

In his new ABP role, Ben brings this wealth of experience to spearhead the delivery and development of surplus land and assets and steer initiatives to create new facilities for existing and prospective customers that are linked to renewable and alternative energy projects.

Based in ABP’s Cardiff office, Ben’s newly created role, which compliments the recent announcement of the equivalent appointment in the Humber, will further strengthen the company’s property capabilities and bolster its new business opportunities portfolio.

Commenting on his new role, Ben St Quintin, Lead Property Development Manager, said:

The ABP Property team is looking to broaden its reach and appeal to new customers. As one of the UK’s largest property and landowners, this new position has been created following the realignment of the property strategy and will be central to reinforcing ABP’s position as a key player in driving positive change within the property development landscape.
