A new Starbucks store will open at Pencoed Business Park today, creating 31 new jobs for the local community.
To celebrate the opening of the new drive-thru store, there will be a ribbon-cutting at 10am on Monday 29th April, attended by local Mayor Cllr D. John, Pencoed town councillors, and DJ Lee Jukes from local radio station Bridge FM. Prior to the opening ceremony, Starbucks and Bridge FM will host a giveaway from 8am-10am, offering free tall hot beverages to the first 20 customers.
Also at the opening will be representatives from Tŷ Hafan, the store’s local charity partner. One of the UK's leading paediatric palliative care charities, Tŷ Hafan helps children and families throughout Wales by providing access to nurses, therapists and advisers who help educate families on how to access the financial support they need.
During the day the Starbucks Pencoed team will host coffee tastings for customers to learn about the new Starbucks Blonde Espresso Roast. With a smooth body balanced with citrusy notes, Blonde Espresso is an entirely new take on what espresso-based drinks can taste like with no compromise on flavour.

Located within the Pencoed Business Park and designed in one of Starbucks newest style concepts, the new drive-thru store features bright, open spaces and creates a calm and contemporary atmosphere where young people, commuters and businesspeople can come together over a cup of coffee.
The Starbucks store is located at Starbucks Drive-Thru, Pencoed Business Park, Pencoed, Bridgend. CF35 5HY, and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
