Join us at Hotel Plas Hyfryd, Narberth on Friday, 28th June 2019 12pm for a 1pm lunch with guest speaker Kees Huysmans, Tregroes Waffles.

Kees Huysmans is a successful businessman, and an award winning singer who moved from Holland to Wales in the early 1980’s. He is the Managing Director of Tregroes Waffles based in Llandysul, with this business having produced waffles successfully in the UK for over 30 years.

Tregroes Waffles are a well known Welsh food brand and they are sold by major supermarkets such as Waitrose, Tesco, Morrisons and at many retail outlets throughout the UK. The business has gone from strength to strength over the years and has put the village of Tregroes on the map.

Following his move to Wales, Kees adopted the Welsh language and culture and he is a fluent Welsh speaker. He has also had a successful singing career having competed at Eisteddfods and in 2016 he won the Blue Ribbon event at the National Eisteddfod in Abergavenny.

Following the investment in a second hand waffle line, production levels at Tregroes Waffles are expected to increase significantly over the next few years and it will take the business to another level. It is very much a community business with all of the employees living locally, and inspired by the John Lewis Partnership, a trust was created in 2015 of which all of the employees are beneficiaries.
