Business owners who are looking to develop emerging technology are being invited to an information event in June.

The Springboard Business Innovation Centre in Cwmbran is holding a drop-in session on June 14 so entrepreneurs can find out more about CEMET (Centre of Excellence in Mobile and Emerging Technologies).

CEMET offers help to Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in the Valleys, West and North Wales with the design and test of new mobile and emerging technologies to create products and services for commercial success. It is led by the University of South Wales (USW) and has £4.2m of backing from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Welsh Government.

“CEMET provides a comprehensive package of support to develop products through road-mapping and knowledge transfer,” said Mark Griffiths, Co-Director of CEMET.

“We support Welsh businesses that are seeking to create new products, solutions and services, through bespoke funding of collaborative research projects.

“At the drop-in session, we’ll be able to answer business owners’ questions about how we can get their ideas off the ground.”

The event runs from 9am until 4.30pm. More details are available at www.cemet.wales/events-index
