Showcasing the Best of Welsh Business

Top North Wales Builder Posts Record £50m Turnover

The 16 per cent increase on 2014 is good news for the Ewloe-based firm which recently announced a £40 million construction programme to create 600 homes in North Wales and North West England over the next three years.

The Anwyl Group’s success has also benefited the wider regional economy with projects estimated to have contributed approximately £125 million to the North Wales economy. As well as 150 permanent employees, Anwyl also provides work for up to 350 sub-contractors at any one time.

End of year figures for Anwyl, which began life in Rhyl in 1930 and remains a family business, also show pre-tax profits of more than £4 million which helped cement its place in the top 150 businesses in Wales in 2015.
