Anglesey Woodland Festival at Plas Newydd
The importance of our native trees and woodlands will be highlighted during a festival held this weekend.
The 10th Anglesey Woodland Festival is being held by the Ynys Môn Outdoor Learning Wales Network Group in conjunction with the National Trust.
The event will be held in Dairy Wood and in the grounds of the National Trust’s Plas Newydd in Llanfairpwll between 11am and 4pm on Saturday and Sunday 26th and 27th September. Entrance is free.
Those visiting will see birds of prey demonstrations, green wood-working, blacksmithing and chainsaw carving all in an informal woodland setting. There will be an opportunity to learn and appreciate more about the environment, in particular the importance of our woodland, through many varied woodland adventure activities. There will be opportunities to take part in creative and fun workshops, learn about green and traditional crafts and skills as well as learn about wild food, permaculture, beekeeping, apples and much more.
